EMERALD LINKS

This is an older project of ours installed in 2010. It is located in the Emerald Links area between Greely and Manotick Ottawa. With the property backing on to a golf course, the goal for this backyard design was to create a sense of privacy within the pool area that still felt open and dynamic. We chose a large variety of evergreens and ornamental grasses that were placed in and outside of the fence surrounding the pool area. This helped to hide the fence as well as create a more natural privacy border. We also added a nix of large feature rocks and pea stone surrounding the pool patio, further enhancing a natural lakeside feel. A custom pool house with cedar shakes and roofed pavilion extension allow for a sitting space in the shade. Outside of the pool area a large custom pergola made of rough sawn cedar sits over top a dining space close to the back entrance of the home. A custom outdoor fireplace and bbq kitchen was also designed for this dining area.
